This is the privacy and cookie statement of the Cycling 4 Climate Foundation, located at 3534 AS, Utrecht, Schaverijstraat 11 2.W.2 (hereinafter: Cycling 4 Climate), cycling4climate.nl.

Applicability

This privacy statement applies to all sensitive information or personal data provided to us, for example, via the contact form or agreements made with us. We highly value the privacy of our customers and therefore exercise the utmost care in handling and protecting personal data. We process data in accordance with the conditions set by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Cycling 4 Climate is the controller within the meaning of the GDPR regarding the processing of personal data. This means that we alone determine which personal data are processed, for what purpose, and in what way. We are responsible for ensuring that personal data are processed properly and carefully in accordance with the GDPR. In this privacy statement, we explain which data we process and for what purposes they are used.

Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • Executing an agreement
  • Processing a payment
  • Sending our newsletter
  • Being able to call or email if necessary to perform our services
  • Informing about changes to our services
  • Offering to create an account

We do not retain personal data longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which the data were collected.

Disclosure to Third Parties

We will only share personal data with third parties if this is necessary for the purposes mentioned above. Disclosure to third parties may be necessary to execute the agreement we have concluded, necessary to protect a legitimate interest of ours, or necessary to comply with any legal obligation imposed on us. We enter into a data processing agreement with companies that process data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of the data. We remain responsible for these processing operations. Beyond the aforementioned situations, we will only disclose personal data to other third parties with explicit consent.

Commercial Purposes

We may use personal data for commercial purposes, such as providing further information about our services and relevant information from carefully selected organizations. This information will only be provided via the registered email address. If no information about relevant products or services is desired, it is easy to indicate this by clicking “unsubscribe” in the received email.

Viewing, Correcting, or Deleting Personal Data

You have the right to view, correct, or delete your personal data. Additionally, you have the right to withdraw your consent for data processing or object to the processing of your personal data. You have the right to data portability if we possess digital personal data that we either process with your consent or process to perform an agreement we have with you.

This means you can submit a request to us to send the digital personal data we hold in a readable computer file to you or another organization.

You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of personal data, or a request to withdraw consent or object to the processing of personal data to: [email protected].

To ensure that the request for access is made by you, we ask that you send a copy of your ID with the request. Please make your photo, MRZ (machine-readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN) black. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond as quickly as possible, but within four weeks, to your request.

We also inform you of the possibility to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
